UCSC Exchanges
UCSC Exchanges are undergraduate programs that allow UCSC students to study at other top institutions abroad or in the USA. Students will earn credit while paying UC Santa Cruz tuition and fees, and living expenses in the destination. Exchanges may be for one quarter, two quarters, or an entire academic year.

- Autonomous University of Barcelona (Open to Economics majors only)
- University of Sussex (Open to Film & Digital Media and Music majors only)
How to Apply to UCSC Exchanges
- Complete your Study Abroad Profile in SlugsAbroad
- Check deadlines and capacity to confirm that your program is still open
- Submit the application in SlugsAbroad by the deadline, which will require academic approval from your College and Department
- Applications are processed on a rolling admissions basis
Application Fee
There is a Non-Refundable $200 UCSC Study Abroad Application Fee. It is charged to your UCSC account in two installments of $100, each due about 1 month and 3 months after you submit your SlugsAbroad Application.
